Why choose me
I advise corporates, individuals and financial institutions on a range of litigation and tax issues. I also advise FCA-regulated firms in relation to commercial disputes, misconduct, regulatory and enforcement action.
My experience includes advising on complex financial products that have been mis-sold or negligently implemented, resulting in significant demands from HMRC. I also specialise in claims against advisors who have provided negligent advice.
I have expertise acting for corporates and individuals in high value corporate disputes, including breach of warranty claims, unfair prejudice disputes and breach of directors’ duties.
I am one of only 48 solicitors ranked and recognised in the Midlands for litigation in Chambers UK 2026. I am also a member of the FA’s Governing Body Endorsement panel.
My experience includes:
- Successfully acting for a company in mis-sold tax planning schemes resulting in a multi-million-pound claim.
- Acting for a company on a negligently implemented tax scheme resulting in a multi-million-pound demand from HMRC.
- Defending clients in a multi-million-pound breach of warranty claim.
- Acting for numerous disputing parties relating to ownership and operation of businesses, including unfair prejudice petition proceedings.
- Assisting in calculating a building society’s £100m+ liability as a consequence of sophisticated fraud.
- Successfully representing a claimant in a contractual interpretation dispute, obtaining a declaration from the High Court and securing multi-million-pound benefit to client.
- Successfully defending a director in 10-day High Court retrial relating to complex breach of fiduciary claims.
- Recovering a seven-figure sum for an individual following negligent advice relating to pension investment.
- Advising on various injunctions including delivery up, freezing orders and springboard.
- Successfully making an interlocutory application for security for costs obtaining a six-figure payment into court.
Away from work I am an avid sports fan and spend much of my spare time watching football in one guise or another.
